A chain of reaction

We were in for a real rust-tic time!

Oh, where do I even begin? Let me paint you a picture: the anchor chain, worn and weathered by the relentless passage of time, cried out for attention like a forgotten relic of the deep blue sea. It was a pitiful sight, I tell you – rust had claimed it as its own, reducing it to a mere pile of gravel-like remnants. It was quite the chain of events.

Extracting the anchor and chain from the sailboat to the pontoon appeared to be a Herculean task. The sheer weight and complexity of the equipment made it feel like a mission impossible. Luckily, the guys from Marina Le Lavandou emerged as our knights in shining dinghies adn came to the rescue.

With precision and grace, we gently lowered the anchor and its chain into the waiting dinghy. The metallic clink echoed through the air as we tried to balance the dinghy in place. We delicately extracted the anchor from its sanctuary within the locker, the true extent of the chain's decay was revealed before our eyes.

As we neared the end, we encountered a tangled mess of a chain, resembling a klum. We had no choice but to hack our way through it. The once sturdy chain had deteriorated into a jumbled heap of rust, barely recognizable. It was as if it had been designated to become a pile of rust gravel.

But the battle was far from over. Armed with nothing more than a trusty vacuum cleaner and a determination to restore our vessel's former glory, I rolled up my sleeves and dove headfirst into the fight. The rust, however, proved to be a formidable adversary, clinging stubbornly to every surface like a persistent barnacle.


Undeterred, I persisted, my efforts fueled by the promise of a gleaming, rust-free locker awaiting me on the other side. And as the powerful rust cleaner banished the last traces of rust, a sense of triumph washed over me. The locker, once a graveyard of rust, now stood as a testament to our resilience and unwavering commitment to boat maintenance.

This locker is ready for a new chain of command..
